Fat Free Products Can Make You Fat

Saturday, 30. January 2010 13:37

If you trying to lose weight beware of certain “fat-free” or “low-fat” products. Even though they are low in fat it doesn’t necessarily mean that they are low in calories. And, if they contain flour, they can cause you to gain weight.

White flour comes from grain which has been stripped of all its natural fiber and ingredients; it has little nutritional value and will cause you to gain weight.

Here’s some really good news. If you do nothing more than stop eating all products made with flour you will lose weight.

White flour is a bad carbohydrate.

The HCG Diet – Fact Or Fiction?

Thursday, 28. January 2010 22:18

HCG (Human chorionic gonadotropin) is a hormone produced during pregnancy which, many years ago was studied as a possible weight loss supplement. The results in most of the studies were not promising. Study results did not show conclusive evidence that it reduced hunger pangs or that it reduced discomfort of following low calorie diets. It also did not conclusively show that it assisted in a more even distribution of fat around the body. It would seem that the HCG diet did no more in fat reduction than the placebo of the control group.

Today’s use of HCG is primarily for treatment of fertility issues.
